We have partnered with Map My Mole to give you a complete service from a detailed consultation in the clinic to taking professional images to then receiving a full report from the consultant Dermatologist. We believe this gives you a gold standard of patient care to give you an easily accessible way to assess moles or skin lesions. Map My Mole is aligned with the British Association of Dermatologists teledermatology guidelines.

What is Map My Mole?

Map My Mole is a service that allows us to send off images taken with the dematoscope of moles and lesions to leading consultant dermatologists who review these images and send a full report back to both you, the patient and us the clinic. The report gives a full explanation as to what the lesion represents. If a concerning mole is imaged the dermatologist will inform the patient providing them with a report that can be sent to their GP to speed up any referral.

What skin concerns can Map My Mole address?

- Atypical moles

- New or changing moles

- Multiple moles

- Family history of skin cancer

- Personal history of excessive sun exposure

The consultation process

During the consultation with the practitioner you will complete a medical history questionnaire and we will explore your concerns and record information in regards to skin health, pigmentation and sun damage. We will review the areas and take images using the dermatoscope and upload these for a Consultant Dermatologist to review. You will receive a detailed report and this will inform your next steps and any treatment options.

Our Advanced Therapists will also advise on overall skin health and care. We use the Observ 520x Skin Scanner to take images of your face to complement the mapping. We can then advise on suitable treatments and homecare products such as SPF to protect you skin.
