At Innersense Aesthetics Medical we offer a range of peels from Obagi Medical and AlumierMD. All the Obagi Medical peels are performed by our highly trained Aesthetic Practitioners who understand the skin and both the Obagi Medical products. A thorough consultation is always recommended prior to your appointment where a tailored treatment plan will be discussed with you to achieve your desired results. Professional treatments complement the range of Obagi Medical homecare which will enhance and prolong the results of your in-clinic treatments.
How do peels work?
Superficial chemical peels decrease the pH at the surface of the skin. This loosens the connections between dead skin cells inducing exfoliation and stimulating new cell growth. Medium peels work the same but go to the deeper layers of the epidermis and dermis. The result of both types of peel is: stimulating the collagen in the skin to reveal a smother, brighter, and more radiant complexion.
The Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE® Peel.
The Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE® is a superficial salicylic acid-based peel that gently exfoliates and helps improve the overall complexion.
It reveals smoother, tighter, and brighter looking skin after just one treatment. For a specific skin concern, a course of 3 - 6 peels are recommended spaced 4 weeks apart to reveal optimum results.
The Radiance peel helps to target breakout prone skin, fine lines, and wrinkles, rough or uneven skin. It is a great option for patients to reset the skin prior to starting the Obagi Systems. Mild peeling is to be expected but this is not always the case.
Do I need to prepare my skin before having the Obagi Blue RADIANCE® peel?
Although this peel is superficial and safe for all skin tones, there is slight preparation needed to ensure the best possible results.
You will need to avoid any active ingredients in your skincare regime for at least 3-5 days before you have your peel treatment. These ingredients include but are not limited to: AHA's, BHA's, Vitamin A such as Retinols and Tretinoin.
Restrictions:
Aspirin allergy, recent UV or upcoming sun exposure, pregnancy, skin cancers, recent exfoliating treatments in the last 4 weeks.
