Surgical Procedures - Upper Eye Blepharoplasty

May 20, 2024

Upper Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty) is cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin or fat from the upper eyelids.

The surgery changes the look of hooded or drooping eyelids and can be performed under a local anaesthetic as a day patient. Here at Innersense Aesthetics Medical we have a dedicated surgical room where all our surgeries take place with our Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr Philip Lim.

Before you go ahead, be sure about your reasons for wanting eyelid surgery. You will always have an in depth medical consultation with Mr Lim to ensure you are a suitable candidate and to ask any questions you have. There is always a cooling off period between the consultation and surgery which is a minimum of 14 days. Mr Lim will need to know if you are taking any medicines to reduce your risk of blood clots, such aspirin, warfarin or apixaban.

On the day of surgery your procedure will take just over an hour and you will be looked after by Mr Lim and his assisting Nurse. You will not be able to drive home and it is advised to take a few days off work. You may have sutures that need to be removed 5 days later.

If you want to have a consultation with Mr Lim please call clinic and we can book you in.
